1. Aluminum smelting industry
One of the common and important uses of bauxite is industrial aluminum smelting, because bauxite is a kind of ore with high aluminum content and rich resources, and it is a good material for aluminum smelting. Used in automobiles, electrical appliances, chemicals, daily necessities, etc.
2. Refractory
Bauxite has good properties such as small thermal expansion, high refractoriness, high temperature volume stability, etc. It is a typical amphoteric oxide and a relatively common refractory raw material, so it is often used to make refractory products. Aluminum silicate refractory fiber made of bauxite has the advantages of light weight, heat resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, small heat capacity and mechanical vibration resistance. It can be used in various industries such as steel, non-ferrous metallurgy, electronics, petroleum, chemical industry, aerospace, atomic energy, national defense and so on. Its production process is to put high-alumina clinker into a high-temperature electric arc furnace with a melting temperature of about 2000 degrees. After high-temperature melting, high-pressure high-speed air or steam injection, and cooling, it becomes aluminum silicate refractory fiber. It can be pressed into fiber blanket, board or woven into cloth to replace refractory bricks lining high temperature furnaces in smelting, chemical, glass and other industries.
3. Foundry paint
Bauxite clinker processed into fine powder can also be used as a raw material for foundry coatings, and can be used as molding sand surface sand, coatings, pastes, etc. for large steel castings in foundry. It can also be used to formulate surface layer coatings when casting stainless steel and heat-resistant high-alloy steel.
4. Precision casting
After the bauxite clinker is processed, it becomes fine powder, which can be made into a mold and then precision cast. Mainly used in communications, instrumentation, machinery and equipment sectors.
5. Bauxite raw stone is the main raw material for the production of abrasive materials, ceramic industry, high alumina cement and other products.
