High temperature creep refers to the isothermal deformation of products under the action of stress at high temperature with time. Due to different external forces, high temperature creep can be divided into high temperature compression creep, high temperature tensile creep, high temperature bending creep and high temperature torsional creep. High temperature compression creep is commonly used.
The compressive creep of refractory products shall be measured according to the national standard GB / t5073-2005 compressive creep test method of fire materials.
The high-temperature creep of refractory is not only related to its chemical mineral composition and microstructure, but also related to the external factors in the use process, such as the use temperature, pressure, atmosphere, the corrosion of smoke and dust, molten metal, slag and so on.
In order to improve the creep of refractories, it is important to improve their chemical mineral composition and fiber structure. Measures can be taken to improve the purity of raw materials, formulate reasonable particle gradation, increase the forming pressure, appropriately increase the firing temperature and prolong the holding time.
