The ability of refractory to resist penetration, erosion and scouring of slag at high temperature.
The methods for determining the slag resistance of refractories are divided into static method and dynamic method. Static method includes melting cone method, crucible method and impregnation method. The dynamic method includes rotary slag etching method, rotary impregnation method (rotary cylinder method), slag spreading method, high-temperature slag dropping method, slag spraying method and induction furnace method. The slag resistance of refractories shall be measured according to the national standard GB / t8931-2007 test method for slag resistance of refractories.
